Engine oil check

Correct engine oil level is extremely important for engine lubrication and cooling. Checking the oil level should be a regular practice at least once a month, because in this way you will be able to react in a timely manner and enable the proper operation of your vehicle.

Below are brief guidelines for self-checking the engine oil level:

When checking the oil, the vehicle must be parked on level ground with the engine turned off and cooled down. Once you've opened the engine cover, find the dipstick, which usually has minimum and maximum oil level marks on it. Pull the rod out of the oil pan and wipe it with a clean cloth and then put it back in the pan. When you pull the dipstick out again, you will be able to see what the oil level is.

In case the oil is below the mark for the minimum level, it is necessary to add oil. It is easiest to use a funnel, and after pouring, you need to check the level to make sure it is within the limits.
